Scouts in Troop 125 pack all of their gear into backpacks for the campouts.  The troop has several external frame backpacks, backpacking-style tents and other equipment available for loan to new boys joining the troop. 

Gear Checklist

____   Sleeping bag (appropriate to the season)

____   Light-weight sleeping mat or air mattress

____   Cook stove and fuel (no liquid fuels), matches

____   Food  (choose dried or light weight foods)

____   Water purifier (as needed)

____   Rain gear: rain jacket and rain pants

____   Pack cover

____   Headlamp or flashlight

____  Hiking boots, broken-in

____   Extra clothes (as appropriate)

           T-Shirt or long sleeve shirt

           Sleeping clothes

           Jacket
